Kat Lenhart is a tech nerd, entertainment lover, comedy writer, and sports fan currently working in business development in Silicon Valley.

As an entertainment tech geek, Kat is passionate about developing new means by which broadcasters can monetize content, as well as the ways in which entertainers and sports leagues can leverage technology to bolster live experiences and drive revenue.

Kat’s love of entertainment stemmed from a young age, when she could not possibly be pulled away from the radio (and consequently, can name nearly every song that hit the airwaves between 1997-2002). After working in radio throughout college (CBS/Saga/Entercom), she found a second love in television, and moved west to pursue opportunities with Conan O’Brien, Paramount Pictures, Don Mischer Productions, Vin di Bona Productions/America’s Funniest Home Videos, and MGM Studios.

An iO West and Upright Citizens Brigade alum, Kat has written with a number of sketch comedy troupes in Los Angeles, most notably Top Story! Weekly, a topical sketch show based at Hollywood’s iO West Theater.

In the tech world, Kat works as a Business Development Lead (Media/Entertainment/Retail) for Tavant Technologies, a tech solutions hub that has been recognized by HousingWire as a Top Innovative Technology Company, as well as multi-year recognition as a Great Place to Work.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Kat prides herself in surviving not only being a Browns fan, but in living in a home that, to this day, does not have air conditioning. She is a cat lover, Price is Right showcase award winner, and a mean shuffleboard player.

She currently holds a B.A. in Media Technology from Denison University (Go Big Red), an M.A. in Entertainment Industry Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MBA from the S.C. Johnson College of Business at Cornell University.
